Captain America shoots a 45acp 1911.... this also settles the debate of 45acp vs everything else..

He put down the shield and became Nomad during the Watergate scandal and I read somewhere he was going to do the same as Superman and give up his citizenship in the next story arch.

Oh, I thought you were referring to Superman's recent "World Citizen" announcement. I do remember that Cap. story line. Super hero's get retconed so much, it's hard to keep up.
We have to love a super who carries though, right?
