Diamondback arms

Post by 3spop on Sat Jul 30, 2011 6:52 pm

i had seen the diamondback arms little pocket 380 at my local gun shop awhile back. Looked pretty good, but I didn't pay much attention cuz I didnt want a 380. I was looking for a pocket 9mm. I ended up going with the keltec pf9. I actually had one a while back and sold it. It was the only 9 I could see myself carrying in a front pocket cause of its size and weight. Well today at the Batesville gun show I saw the Diamondback db9. This dude is considerably smaller than the keltec pf9. Price was $400, I have seen some that sold a little cheaper on GB since getting home. Anybody happen to have a review on one of these?

That's an interesting little gun. If you get a chance to shoot one, we'd love to hear your impressions. It's awful light, so I'd expect it to kick like a mule and that was the problem I had with the PF9. I'd like to shoot one someday, though. Looks like something Glock should have built, doesn't it?

I don't recall who, but I remember someone on here has a DB380 for a carry pistol. I haven't seen the DB9, but the DB380 that I looked at seemed to lack any sort of fit and finish. Alot of the Keltec P3Ats look a bit rough, and the DB380 looked rougher, for quite a bit more money. Could have been an older model on display or whatnot, I won't rule it out until I see another couple.

I've dry fired one and it's got the trigger finger pinch syndrome (frame opening and trigger pinches when pulled). Other than that, it seems to be ok.

I got the DB9 about a month ago, and I like it pretty well. Very light, and very easy to conceal. It does have a pretty good snap to it, due to the weight. The downsides are that it doesn't have a slide lock and only comes with one mag. Extra mags are $35 from the factory. Other than that, I've been well pleased with it.
