I am thinking about buying one of these and was just wondering what some of you think about them.

Heard/read enough positive to make one my next 1911 purchase. External extractor doesn't bother me.

I shot two and both had very heavy triggers but that can be fixed.

Haven't shot one. I like the looks of the internal extractor better, but that's just my opinion. If I were gonna have an external extractor version, I'd go for a Sig over the Smith, but to each his own. My next 1911 might just be that new Ruger...

The new "E" series 1911's they introduced not too long ago look really nice. haven't had a chance to handle one yet though. Let us know what you decide.

Happy Shooting!

I went with the full size Smith and Wesson 1911. Absolutely no regrets. Bought it at Bass Pro Shop for less than 875 with tax. I have put a little more than two hundred rounds of cheap round ball ammo down the barrel with no malfunctions. Very accurate after a little adjustment (it has adjustable rear sights). Will try to get a pic up. This is my first 1911 and now I have the bug, hope to have a few more in the future.

Congratulations to the 1911 group. Once you get used to the 1911, won't anything do as good. I'm glad we got another on our side..Haha Happy shooting.....
