Brass worth saving?

Brass worth saving?
I'm interested in getting in to reloading for pistol, but probably not for another year or two. In the mean time, I've been saving brass when I go shooting (mostly .38). My question is... is the brass from cheap practice/plinking ammo worth saving for future reloading? I usually just buy whatever I can find cheapest for shooting like Winchester White Box, PMC, and Monarch (a brand they carry at Academy for cheap).

I save all brass, even if I don't reload it. You can always sell the stuff you dont use or save it until you get a 55 gal drum full and bring it in for scrap price.

38 special. I don't have much... maybe a couple hundred. I just started saving a month or two ago.

Save it. Worst case you can sell it (or give it to me)

Since you plan to save over time, I suggest you store the brass in air-tight containers. This will help keep the brass in better condition for when you get ready to use it.

Thanks for the tip. I was just sticking the brass back in the box it came out of. Would a ziplock be airtight enough, or should I go with something more substantial?

Ziplock baggies are good. Ammo cans are better.....

I use plastic ice cream buckets for storing brass.

I always save brass for chamberings I own or am in the market for.
Bought form gallon plastic containers with snap on lids at home depot a while back for $1 each. Perfect setup for me.
