C&R questions
I'm sure there is a tutorial or an article somewhere on the forum detailing how to obtain a C&R that I'm overlooking ?? thanks

Re: C&R questions
It is quite easy. Go to this link:
http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/curios-relics.html#license-apply
to find answers to any questions you may have. Print out the forms:
http://www.atf.gov/forms/download/atf-f-5310-16-notice.html
fill them out, send in a check / cc # for the $30 fee. You will also send a letter notifying the Chief Law Enforcement Officer where you live. If you live in a town/city, that is Chief of Police; if you live in an unincorporated area, it is the sheriff. The letter should be short and to the point:
"Dear Chief / Sheriff ABC: I am writing to notify you that I am applying for an 03 "Collector of Curios & Relics" Federal Firearms License. This license does not authorize me to engage in the business of dealing in firearms, but only permits me to acquire and collect firearms which are 50 years old or older, or which are listed by the BATFE as a "curio and relic". No action is required on your part.
Sincerely,
Name, address, "
and I recommend phone # in case he has a question for you.
Feel free to send me a PM if you have any other questions.

That's it. Piece of cake. Took about five weeks, I think.
