Remington 1911 enhanced

Post by e.martin on Thu Aug 04, 2011 10:52 pm

It's no secret that I am alittle partial to Remington and now I'm wanting a 1911, you all know a few years ago Remington released their new 1911. I like it but I'm not wanting a plain 1911 but I'm not wanting a full out tactical model or a competion model either! Now Remington has released an "enhanced" model it looks right up my alley! So has anyone handled one or even seen one? I'm not sure if their even in any stores but I have seen them on gb checking the price! What about the Remington 1911's in general are they worth having? Are they comparable to others in the same price range?

I have pulled the trigger on a R1 a couple times. I like it. I'm a REMINGTON fan also. So I need to add one to my collection also.

I've been looking for an Enhanced model. Right now it looks like my next 1911 will be a Ruger or a S&W E model. It depends on which hits the shelf first.

we have several FFL's here....

Personally I would not buy a first year production gun...even if its just a 1911...I'd wait

Thanks neck I went to vans to find someone to talk to and to see if their even out yet, I'm slightly perturbed with vans gun counter after dealing with a kid who could only show me the rems they had and couldn't answer any of my questions, I got ahold of an old guy, after standing their 15 minutes, and tried to start a conversation with him about the guns I got a uh-huh and a un-ugh pull hair And pointed to the plain rem I had already handled! Come on guys if you want my money.... F****** acted like it! Maybe I'm just a big baby but I want someone who is willing to talk to me when I'm spending money with them

Vans had one they had just set out 15 min before for 700, I went out their with my cousin to look at a bow, and caught a guy at the gun counter who actually liked socializing with customers!
