May get mine cleaned up tomorrow. What "Model" are these? I would like to get some used scabbards when I run across them.

Let me know what scabbards you find, need a pair too. Haven't picked the bayonets up yet from captain though... Looking forward to seeing them. I had my grandfathers that he carried in Korea, but managed to lose it in a move about 10 years ago... Still mad at myself about that.

M8A1 scabbards are what is needed ... I use to buy them for $9.00 each from Cheaper-Than-Dirt -- now everyone wants $19.95 for them -- go figure!!

Thanks again for the bayos captain. They look really good. Now I just got to get the gunk off of them and put them with the Carbines Smile

Just searching on google, looks like $19 would be a bargain. Cheapest ive found so far is $29.95.... Just my luck the scabbard would cost at least twice what the bayonet does.

My two cleaned up easily with some mineral spirits. One is in good shape, the other has a lots of nicks and dings on the blade and is missing a couple layers of leather on the handle. Still...$15, can't complain. May be getting the urge for more bayos...dang you Captain! The Garands are jealous now, they want some "bling" too.
