Got a Remora Holster today

Post by Hrdnox on Mon Aug 15, 2011 6:36 pm

And, I like it, a lot. Was amazed when I went to the mailbox and the whole package wasn't as thick as a bubble mailer. Holster is thinner than that. This thing is very thin, however, the inside gives nice protection. Tightly stitched material, but plenty soft enough not to mar your gun. Don't know what these guys found, but the outside is some of the stickiest stuff you'll run across. I don't jump or run around, but some folks do and they say this holster simply doesn't move. I can believe them. When it's inserted in your pants, it's stationary, period. I'm a tough fit for a comfortable holster, but I believe this one fills the bill nicely. I can't tell a whole lot of difference in feel between the bare gun and the gun in this holster, except I'm not poked and it's not cold. I got the unreinforced one, but have heard good things about the reinforced models, as well. I think this was a well spent $30. Not affiliated with them, but they also come with an unconditional lifetime replacement warranty. Hope to have to check that out one day, because I'm sure I can wear it out, if I live long enough, however I have to say it's very well made for what it is. An American company that takes a lot of pride in what they're doing. If you'd like to check mine out, PM me and I'll give you directions so you can drop by. I think you'll be about as amazed as I am.

Here's a video demonstrating several of them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iM9zArpmSV0

I have 2 of them. I really like em. Super sticky material on the outside.

What guns are ya'll using with the Remora holsters? I've been considering one for pocket carry of my J-frame.

I have one for pocket carry for a kel-tec pf9, and I also have one for iwb carry for my FN fnp45.

The one I bought fits both my Glock 26 and M&P Compact like a glove. Tried both these guns with a variety of holsters and all were simply too big and bulky for my frame. Never found a one that was comfortable, until now. I think a lot of it has to do with the options available to wear it. It can be positioned anywhere on the waistband, left or right handed, with the cant the way you want it. Seems to stay exactly where you put it and if it starts getting uncomfortable after a while, it can be easily repositioned. I'm gonna like mine for it's ability to grab and go with ease. If I'm going to the mailbox or gas station, I can just grab it, stick it in the small of my back, and I'm ready to go. Never had a holster that was this quick and easy to put on.

Good to see this kind of report. I have been looking at them for a while. I guess I need to make one of these appear in my mailbox.
