Coast Meet, whos coming?

Post by kingofyo1 on Mon Aug 15, 2011 7:11 pm

Looking to get all coast members together for a meet and greet. If you're interested, please list your location and what you'll be bringing to the meet!

I'm in Gulfport, and I'll be bringing my 1911, taurus 24x7 and a pink lady that I am going to attempt to sell or destroy, whatever comes first lol

A poll will be set up for all of the main decisions. First decision will be the month of the meet. Would yall like to meet up in october or november?

I will try and come, subject to my schedule, and I may bring a toy or two...

When, where, etc...?

This is what I was hoping for! Ok, since now there's multiple people willing to, we need a venue. Somewhere close to us all that can give us the ability to shoot at the same time.. at least a 5 or 6 lane place. I was hoping to do something around the end of the month, or beginning of September. We could start the meet at a local gun shop, so people get a last chance to grab ammo, etc. then move it to the range. Alternatively, if anyone's got land they'd like to donate temporarily to allow us to shoot on, that would work to.

That idea has been proposed before, but working out the details is the HARD part. Not trying to shoot you down, but you need to present more than just the idea.......... (thats the easy part).

It will be great to have a M&G on the Coast.

there's a range south of 59 we could go to, free and called ash lake extractory but its a ways out.. I'd love to find somewhere in woolmarket or another country area that we could rent out for a day or something, but as yall said, that will be the hard part.

I'm in if this happens. Already met some goods folks down here.

Everybody get a 22 and come to the 22RF-Class shoot. Logistic problem solved.

I'm going to attempt to contact the gulfport police range, and see if they're open to public (or even military) and see if i can monetarily convince them to let us borrow the range for a bit

What about contacting the Gulf Coast Rifle and Pistol Club out on Hwy 67 north of Woolmarket and see if they are interested in hosting a group of shooters, even for a small "daily usage" fee for the NON-members that want to attend. I am a member and know several others on here are too. Maybe we could get our own 'MSGO' range for a couple of hours one Sat or Sun afternoon. It could be mentioned that there might be some POTENTIAL new members that join as a result and no doubt there very well may be...and it could be mentioned that may be a few of the club members might want to join our forum as a result!

I am sure that ALL NON-members would have to attend a brief safety seminar at the range prior to being allowed use of it...safety first!

Just an idea...
