That's right...up less than 48 hours and it was shot with an AR-15. bravo

We need to start kicking people out.

You have to be kidding -- which one? Just spoke with you yesterday about 'em being up and running ...... was it on the back 40?

With deer season coming up, the 40 will be a goner soon.

It is difficult to catch these slobs. The NRA Range Technical Team Class I took said about 5% of your members are SLOBS In a club as large as yours that is a lot of trouble.

I was at our range one day and had a 3/8" CAS plate on the range at 50 yards. A guy that was there loaded up his M1A and fired a 7.62NATO 147 gr FMJ round into the plate. A big hole. I gave him the plate and told him to have a new one made. He did not and he was dismissed from our club. Since I have been in McComb (34 years) our gun club has suffered from these problems. I don't see any way to stop them.

We've got to police our own. I wouldn't approach someone with an AR but would get his tag and maybe a pic with a camera phone. Kicking them out is not enough, everyone was told the rules. Take them to small claims court to recover the cost of a replacement. JMHO, I could be wrong, I'm due.

yell Seems there are these kinds of people in every group. I wish someone could catch whoever this is Mad . Maybe we do need to seriously explore the camera option to catch them thinking

Cliff -- we need to BAN rifles from the 25 and south 40 .... We have plenty of room for them on the other ranges. At least we can monitor that to some degree.

Palo has considered installing some type of CCTV on the pistol and 100 yard range (we have to figure out how to power them). There are a few members that shoot up frames, but don't think they have a responsibility to fix anything. They believe that's included in their membership.
Unless you have a fulltime RO, it's hard to police who is using what at the range. Some type of picture-taking or CC system may be an option.
Just my $.02.

Unbelievable! Haven't been able to practice the racks since I joined, they get destroyed by some fool every time.

I would be willing to chip in on a good camera system for the range to help catch who ever is doing this. I can do some searching around to see if I can find a good price if it would help also.

What we need to do is just put up signs that say your on "camera" and not really put them up. Just using that as a scare method. Might work.

The cameras they make now are so small, you can almost hide them anywhere.
