Son's Birthday present.
My son's been on me for a while to build him a AR like his sister's so for his Birthday I built him a 22lr. The Burris Tac 30's on their just for show till the YHM sights come in. Think he'll like it.

That thing is very cool. I'm sure he'll absolutely love it. My brother just bought a tactical stock for a 10/22 for my nephew for his birthday. Of course, he's in love with it. You can't really go wrong with a cool looking weapon for a young fella's birthday. Enjoy!

Thanks, he has no idea hasn't even seen it. I'm going to give it to him today. I told him this morning when he gets home we needed to go out to the farm and help his PawPaw cut up some trees but we're really going shooting.

Re: Son's Birthday present.
I've read people referring to a 22lr AR. Is that a standard AR with a 22lr adapter kit or a full upper made just for 22lr?
If it's the former I've never heard of that but I NEED one!

It's a dedicated .22 upper not a conversion kit. Heres some pic of the wife and sons targets. They had a blast!
Wifes target on the right, sons on the left @ 25 yards.
Another of the Wife's targets @ 50 yard.

It very accurate and runs like a top with Federal bulk, CCI min mags, Winchester 333 and Blazer ammo but hate the Remington stuff.
Here's a 50 yard target I shot using Federal bulk.
