.35 Whelen starting point

My bud called bragging about his new TC in .35 Whelen. Wants to start working up a deer load. What powder/bullet combo. is working for you guys?

I've had quite a bit of success with this load. When I worked it up, I kept to the lighter bullets because I was shooting whitetail and hogs. It's not a speed demon but it shoots sub minute for me when I do my part.

200 SP (Hornady Sptizer) 55.5gr IMR4895 WLR

Have owned a Prohunter in 35 Whelen for 4 months have not had time to shoot it yet....

Loaded up some 225 accubonds over 60 grains of varget. almost max, be carefull.

You could always use good 357 bullets an save your shoulder
