Contributions

Hey Hammer,

If you hit the contribution button at the bottom of the screen you see the following message
"With your contribution for www.msgunowners.com, you accept to credit points to the account of this forum and you allow its administrator to use them as he wish.

If you encounter any problem with a payment, contact us at : http://help.forumotion.com."

So what does that mean?

If I put money on this does it go to help pay for the server space, admin costs, etc, or does it go to free forum people, or does it go to something entirely different. I enjoy this forum and do not mind putting part of it on my tab. As a matter of fact I would like to put a little on it. I just want to make sure that is what I am doing. I don't even have a problem with it going to the buy Hammer a competition pistol setup (goodness knows on an hourly rate it would be a lot of work for the return), but I would hate to find it was a plot to put funds secretly into the re-elect Obama fund or something.

And you know how we gun owners are supposed to like secret plots.

If you contribute via the tab you mentioned, it buys the forum credits that I can use to buy server space, keep those nusiance ads off of the forum, keep the domain name and things like that. There are no admin costs, since I am the admin. Some members have donated to the forum this way. Some have just given money to me for the forum. I put it in a seperate account and use it to try to promote the forum and "advertise" the forum.

I don't ask for any monetary help or donations for this forum. I don't mind the costs associated with it. I get a lot of enjoyment from this. I like to converse with fellow gun owners, and I get a lot of information from this site. So, I see the tradeoff as even and fair. But, if someone has the urge to donate, I wont turn it down Razz !
