Rock Island Question

Post by TankerHC on Tue Aug 23, 2011 11:02 am

Went to the range today and was shooting my Rock Island Tactical. Only second time and first time I only put about 20 rounds through it. Halfway through a 50 round box the magazine fell out and the hammer fell but the round didnt fire. The magazine release was gone and at the moment I dont know if there is any other internal damage. The hammer wont lock back, just stays forward. Anyone know how to contact RIA or ARMSCOR? I have been to their websites but there is no contact info.

Thanks
J

You're welcome. A few years ago I was having trouble getting a hammer strut pin out when I was changing to a Commander hammer on a Rock, called Ivan about it and he told me I never would get it out for some reason the factory stakes them on both sides, he sent me a hammer strut and a new pin for free that day, Rock Island has top notch customer service. thumbs up
