Clash Of Metal, Man-vs- Man Steel At Magnolia Rifle & Pistol Club This Saturday, August 27th

It's that time again!!!

2 shooters

2 shooting boxes

5 pieces of steel counting 1 popper that is crossed for tie breaker

We will have Open and Limited to start. We may have side matches down the road for .22's.

We will do elimination by best 2 out of 3. Once a shooter has 3 losses on their card they do not advance. We will establish classes as the program advances. We'll use known ability and will look at classifications from other shooting sports like USPSA and ICORE and will handicap accordingly. In other words, if a newer shooter is going against a more experienced one they'll have to knock down fewer targets.

This is drag racing with guns! It's the most fun I've ever had and a hoot to just watch.

$5.00 entry fee and the match is 4th Saturday of every month. Match will begin @ 8AM.

Questions???

New shooters are encouraged to attend.

For those who didn't/couldn't make it today you missed a good one. Set-up and organization went great and everybody helped out each other and had the usual little bit of raggin' going on. I brought in my new-for-me FNX-9 and she didn't have a hiccup so I have noone to blame but myself and the 2 who did it to me for getting knocked out...lol. Thanks to a couple reminders on my shootin' such as coming off the double-action first shot and running just single-action since the safety would be engaged anyway on this pistol-it worked well for me. The 3-position safety is reminiscent of the MkIII Hi-Power with its' shape(to me the single-action is much better). The decock sets the trigger well for a first double-action pull and the single-action has about a 1/4" reset with very little take-up and she's ready. The shooters I came up against today made me work and the challenge helped me relax and do my job. So kudos to everyone who showed up for a good start of a Saturday. We were done by lunch. As usual when I first got up this morn I almost talked myself out of it but I- like everyone- was glad we did...I as others give my thumbs up on the FNX-9...at 21oz she still has almost no rise......Pics in Firearms Gallery

Thanks to all who came out. Set-up and tear-down help were awesome!!! We were packed up and done by 11:05 and gone.

The shooters deserve all the credit.
