Anyone considering a new 9mm for carry or range I can now give my thumbs up to the just over a year old FNX-9 which has replaced the FNP9. They still make the FNP-.45...another one I'm looking at. For those of you unfamiliar there are further pics in the Gallery section. The pistol is totally ambidextrous except of course for the takedown which is quick being that you simply place on safe, rack and lock slide, turn lever and take off. It has fully encapsulated recoil guide. Comes with 3 mags in box which is good for they're expensive like the Ruger SR9 and others. They drop clean and quick though from pistol using either side release. Both Satin and Black slides are SS. 3 position safety, safe-fire-decock. Enough spring in lever that you shouldn't find yourself decocking pistol without purpose. Check it out...4" barrel, 17rds...Note: keeping 15 to 16 rds in mag makes loading in pistol much easier.
