crossbreed mag release problem

Post by AWSHUX on Mon Aug 29, 2011 9:47 pm

welcome Has anyone else had an issue with their Crossbreed holster pushing the mag release button on a 1911? Several times a day I would notice the mag hanging out of my gun *not good!* After inspection, I notice the holster pressing really hard against the release button. It may have been because it was new because it doesn't do it nearly as often as it used to. I've had my new CB for a few months now & it has loosened up a lot. Other than that, my CB is awesome & it makes carrying my fullsize Taurus PT1911 a breeze & extremely comfortable.

I've had my crossbreed for 3 months with a S&W M&P 40 compact. I've noticed the same issue just a few times, though not commonplace.

Does the Taurus have an oversize or extend mag release? Just a guess that might be the problem.

I've noticed the POSSIBILITY of it, but i've never had it happen with mine, and I carry with it quite frequently. I believe you can send the holster back to crossbreed for the combat cut or whatever they call it, where he'll cut out more of the leather, giving you a better grip on the gun, and I would assume the area cut is the same area around the mag release button.

Naw, the mag release is normal size. When I was ordering it, I noticed it had an option to get the combat style, but I didn't know what it was & still don't really. So I didn't get it...

i did the same....don't regret it either....my understanding is it just cuts away all leather from the grip area
