I took the "optic plunge" and placed an order for the Aimpoint PRO (Patrol Rifle Optic).

Not a bad price, Santa came early. Those things last forever, have a friend who has had one for 20 years. Still works fine.

I think they put that package together to compete with Eotech for LEO/MIL contracts. They retail for $440.

My cousin asked what could my Aimpoint do that his $40 truglo couldn't. (survive a nuclear blast) Razz

The Aimpoint is a 1000 times better, lol I have a truglo, it's piece of crap. Dot looked great at first, after about 100 rounds on my AR it looks like a star burst now. I'm leaning toward getting a Vortex Strikefire.

Sorry guys. It rained last weekend and I'm moving to Ridgeland this weekend. I might get some trigger time tomorrow.

Is there any magnification in that unit?

THAT'S the beauty of Aimpoints. My Comp M3 has been on for over two years straight now and my wife's Micro T1 has been on for about a year and a half straight. No need to remember to turn them on if something goes bump in the night...
