Baikal????

I've got a .22 bolt action rifle that I've seemed to have had forever. I haven't put much thought into it until recently because its been in the back of the closet. I got it out the other day to let my 8yr old daughter give it a try for the first time. It got me thinking about how that thing has always been extremely accurate & such fun to shoot, but I know nothing about the brand. It has what looks to be Baikal written on the buttstock, but the "B" could be an "R". It has "MADE IN THE USSR" stamped on the top. I've never seen another one anywhere or even heard the name. Can anyone give me any info on this gun? What's it worth? Quality? Etc.....

I have a 9x18 Makarov made by Baikal, double action with a de-cocker that sold for $145 around 1994. I rank it as the best of the Russian stuff. I'd like to see a picture of the .22
