My new SOCOM 16
Just finished putting the first 100 rounds through it and cleaning it. So far, I really like this gun. It is my first M1A and I am hooked so more will likely follow. My first choice was the black stock but Buds had the green one for 100 less. I already have some old M14 wood furniture coming for it. I added the Ulitmak M8 top rail to it out the box.

It is a blast, pun intended, to shoot. The iron sites were dead on and even with a nice cross wind I was able to hit a large O2 bottle at 450 yards from a bench quite easily.

O2? really, that seems kinda dangerous.

Not this one. It is full of holes and very empty

Re: My new SOCOM 16
I just got one too, a used standard M1A with a black synthetic stock.
Mine had a National Match front sight installed and I ordered the NM rear sight & will install that shortly.
