CONDITION - CONDITION - CONDITION --- along with rarity and demand will determine the value. I have been looking at the Mas for about a year now .... In the past several months, there has been several listed in the $300 range described as mint/like new condition -- They did NOT sell for that price. Seems there are some out there that were reworked in the 70's by the French and never issued after that ... Based on the Gunbroker auctions I have seen lately, I would guess the rifle would be valued between $150 - $250 depending entirely on the condition of the rifle ....
Of course, it could be worth much less is missing parts or damaged, etc. -- Additionally, I could be way off base with my assessment ....

OK, thanks guys. I am a small arms repairman in the military and I would have to say this is like new condition. It gives me a good idea on what to ask when I sell it! Great site!

Take a look over on Gunbroker -- there are quite a few up for sale ... watch what sales and the condition it is in and that will give you an idea of what you could expect ...

I seen the MAS 36's on gun broker but only one 36/51 and he wanted way too much for that one!

The problem with the MAS's marketability is no one can afford to shoot it.
You may want to ask on www.milsurps.com.
