huge bomb or fuel cell!

Post by Rebel Rifle Ordnance on Mon Sep 05, 2011 8:25 am

Could anyone help me ID this bomb or fuel cell. I believe it is a dummy dropped for training. It's hollow and made out of thin iron or tin. 47.5 " tall and 26" in circumference. It was found near a Naval Air Station on private property.

I have a blue one almost identical...practice bombs that were filled with sand or water. Neat little items of history...well, not THAT little lol.

I do a good bit of work at Ft. Hood on the the live fire ranges and those dummy bombs are everywhere. They range from probably 18" long to 10'. Some say inert and most are hollow. Only time I felt uneasy was seeing a land mine. I gave that dude a wide berth.

It's an AT4. I bought it from Edward Cameron before he was murdered here in H,Burg.
