Sounds to me like he could use a gun safety course--with emphasis on the four cardinal rules. Just lucky I guess that no one was killed--though I smell a justified lawsuit in the making.

At least it was a ricochet hit.

I know that some states have classes on firearms safety. He really needed it but the down side of that is they could make the course so hard that no one could own a firearm. A person needs to know his/her limitations and take a class anyway.
Her wound was not life threating but that doesn't mean it's not life altering.

I just noticed this post and decided to include a similar story. My dad was at a mechanic shop on Hwy302 showing off his new s&w 642. He emptied the bullets in his hand and said "check out this trigger pull." Next thing you know, Click Click BOOM. He shot a hole through their big fan blade, and turns out he only had 4 bullets in his hand. Luckily no one was hurt. They recovered the expanded Critical Defense slug, fully expanded. BE CAREFUL out there.

Also a Memphis range officer fired 12ga buck shot into the ceiling at our favorite range, and he's a Vietnam vet. Everyone in there about Peed their selves.
