Tropical Storm Lee kept me inside...and busy!
I have been collecting range brass for about a year now, just some stuff that appears to be in good shape not just ANY old range brass that I see...
This past weekend I cleaned, sized, separated by head stamp, and primed several hundred .223 Remington. I loaded some test batches in several different powder weights and bullet combinations.
I cleaned, sized, and separated by head stamp .40 S&W brass, probably over 1500 pcs! Now I need to go ahead and buy a .40 S&W gun...
I continued working on my .308 load development, I loaded, new brass here, some more batches of two different recipes to test at longer distances now...
I cleaned, sized, and primed my once shot .458 Socom brass, about a hundred pcs...
I loaded up another hundred rounds of my favorite 10 mm load...
...and that is about it.
P.S.
Anyone have an idea of about how many .45 ACP brass fit into a stuffed gallon zip lock bag?
About how many 9 mm into a stuffed gallon zip lock bag?

Want to let any of that .40 go? I have 9mm and .45 to trade haha. I spent most of the weekend separating .45 brass sizing and repriming. I need more .40 tho.

No I plan on keeping all my brass, I have method to my madness!
I have a Glock G20 and G29 which are 10 mm. I plan to add barrels for .40 S&W and 9x25 Dillon (for pure fun) for the G20.
I think (99%) I am about to get a Glock 23 as my new carry gun, I will get a 9 mm conversion for it and maybe one day a .357 Sig, last on the list for sure.
After the G23 I want to get a Glock 30 or more likely a Glock 21 which are .45 ACP.
I will then have all 3 common, and some uncommon, auto pistol calibers covered with these 3 firearms And since aftermarket barrels are fairly cheap this gives me a wide range of calibers to be able to shoot if need be...
I will have:
9 mm
.357 Sig ?
40 S&W
10 mm
9x25 Dillon
45 ACP

Well ok then haha. I like to keep things simple, I like to shoot different guns but I will only own a few very common calibers, I have a method to my madness as well.

Yeah, I agree entirely with that, get the basics covered FIRST, then get a few of the 'exotics' to play around with!
I certainly did that with my rifles, however I was not nearly as disciplined with the pistol acquisitions... I went from 22 lr which is good starter, to 10 mm, and then 5.7 x 28, yeah the latter two are not 'common' rounds for sure...
This is most likely due to my affection for rifles and especially precision rifles...not so much the spray and pray type of shooting (which is fun occasionally), I like slow, methodical, precise, and calculated shooting...

I went the other direction and got rid of all but 2 pistol calibers. Now have only Glock .40's and a Ruger .45 thinking I would only need to stockpile 2 calibers, but now I think I should get something in 9mm as I have a lot of it laying around and everyone has one if I ran out of all my stuff.
but I did stay inside all weekend and pickle okra and can tomatos. I am waiting on buying a progressive press before I reload all my .40 brass thats the only reason I didn't do it this weekend.

I have a Lee Loadmaster set up for .40, I can't keep enough brass around to last me a day. I usually buy 1k lead bullets every other friday and if I have the brass they are loaded by Monday haha. I have been doing this for a few months now and I haven't shot a round through the XD in a while so I have a little stock going. But I always need more. Now with the .308 I have been hoarding it like it's going out of style and I just about have all of it loaded but I need to get to the range and make sure the loads are perfect before I finish it all off. I just got a lot of A-Max's so I need to put a few of those through the stick.
