my first shotgun: 870 wingmaster 12ga: 1984!
I found this on consignment at bay gun and pawn a couple days ago, said it would be mine, and as of today it is! ^_^ It came with a 20" and a 30" barrel, the 20" has open sights and the 30" is ribbed with a silver ball sight on tip. I purchased the winchester fiber addon from walmart on clearance to give it that extra oomph to my vision when shooting sport. Lemme know what y'all think.
Edit: just got off phone with remington, and they informed me that this shotty is a 1984 model brushmaster wingmaster deer gun.. Wonder what all that entails?

wish I would have found it. nice find for a nice price. no find you a dove field for the weekend and reach out and touch them with that 30" barrel and a full choke.

Nice wingmaster! I believe you done good. I still have my wingmaster my dad gave me when I was 12, that he had since no telling when. I absolutely love mine, it shoots great. Sure wish I could fine one of them 20" barrels one day that would be a great addition. Got yourself a beautiful scattergun, couple little dings and scratches ain't never hurt nobody, just makes it where it ain't so bad when you scratch it!

You did well. I like a 20" or so barrel so I'm not arguing with some LEO over how you measure barrel length in the middle of the night.

The wood appears to be in excellent condition. The receiver shows some times in the field......
The 20" barrel appears to be a rifled slug barrel (having the sights). 30" barrels usually mean full choke bore. Does the 30" barrel use Rem-Chokes?

Ya Know I haven't even taken A look at the barrel to see if it would take a choke... it's not threaded for one! Neither are. Both are smooth barrels, not rifled or threaded.. is this gonna be a problem?

I had a Remington 870TB in Florida and I put 65,000 rounds through it in 1972. I had a rear end wreck and the gun was destroyed in my trunk. I finally bought another 3 years ago. They are the best pump guns ever made.

Just got back from academy, picked up a 3 shot limiter for my magazine tube, as well as remington replacement shurshot stocks for the 870. I dont wanna use the beautiful wood stocks on a normal basis, only when showing it off, so I picked up replacements. Will be putting them on this afternoon, and taking more pics for yall
