Remington 870TB find
I bought this at a now defunct Pawn Shop in McComb. It was covered with camo paint and plastic leaves. I noticed the recoil pad was red and that indicates a factory trap or skeet gun. I got it for $140 out the door. I used Kutzit and removed all the green paint and the Model was an 870 Trap Special. Remington always uses special grade Walnut on their target grade shotguns. The finish is about 90% and the bore slick. The wood is really beautiful. All I have to say is, the paint probably protected the gun from the redneck owner. The gun was made in the middle 60's and I believe the gun is worth $600+. I bought a 20" Remington slug barrel for it and the gun has a place at the head of my bed, from now on.

I love some Pawn Shop pickin that is a wonderful find although I am sure it was some kinda work getting all that old paint off.

I saw it before Doug bought it & it looked so bad I passed on it! Let's just say it was fully "bubbaized" !

Youse guys are all Heart. I have been looking for a 12 GA Remington 870 Special Trap since my old one was busted up in an automobile accident in Florida. This gun even has a steel magazine follower, no plastic at all.

Nice find Mr Doug. Makes ya kinda wonder what the heck is wrong with some people to deface furniture like that.

If you are ever around Cleveland, stop by Pauls Mart and talk to Becky. They probably still have a few Skeet and Trap Remingtons. I bought one for dad a few years ago that has wood that looks like it should be on a Perazzi. I'll have to remember to post a picture.
FWIW, there are untold goodies from the 70's till now in that store and Becky has probably forgot more about guns than most will ever know.
