My new RIA 1911 Milspec
Took my new RIA 1911 out to the range yesterday. Fired great, ran about 150 rounds through it. The mag that came with it worked real good. The two new
springfield mags I got work good, but was little stiff loading the first round. Used a old colt mag (40 years plus) work good untill the last round, had two stovepipes and wouldn't keep the slide back after firing the last round. The 1911 fired without a problem and was fun the shoot. Just as accurate as a Colt 1911 I had years ago.

Those economical 1911's are starting to grow on me. Happy shooting!

I don't klnow if my two cents adds anything to this thread but I'm very pleased with my RIA 45. Probably my favorite ('cause it's the cheapest??, the Frugal Shooter asketh)

Got mine from Buds gun shop for around $385. Does 8 or 7 round mags just fine.

You asked, "Ed how is your relationship with your taurus 1911 now?" It remains in that dark dank corner of the gun safe mewling and puking. I'll take it out to play again one of these days if it mends its ways.
You asked, "You like this RIA over it?" Yep, no hesitation there!
