Yep....I'm going snub nose hunting I suppose....kinda hard to pull off my normal carry guns in my new work attire(tucked in polo) so I suppose pocket carrying a snub will be better than my pocket knife....dunno though...that new m1911 knife I got yesterday is pretty BA

Going this morning, mostly to laugh at the absurdly HIGH prices but every once in awhile something interesting will show up.

Found a like new lcr357 with the trijicon front sight already installed. I'm not convinced it was ever fired outside of the factory test rounds.

Luckily I have a old Blackhawk pocket holster laying around for the snub nose I never bought until now ha. Not a great fit but it'll do until I get a properly fit holster for it.

I'm excited to try it out. I've shot jframes in .357 before, no biggie, so I'm hoping this one lives up to the hype. I know the trigger sure does!

I went, I saw, I was unimpressed but I handled a few of weapons to help make a decision about my biglittle carry pistol. I decided a Glock 36 just feels right and my LCP will stick around as backup or for when even the 36 is too big.

Yeah it was not a good show at all. The fact that I went with a mission made it bearable

Same here, I didn't really expect to find anything but to walk around with $550 in my pocket and not be tempted at all was just plain weird. If I'd seen something I really liked that cost more I'd have made an offer. I didn't have that problem today.

Lots of Taurus 1911s, if they didn't put a big HUGE ugly "TAURUS" on the side of it and didn't try to make it look like a Taurus I might be tempted. S&W, Remington, and other big brands are content with the traditional look. I know Sig made their 1911 slide look like a Sig slide but I like the looks of a Sig, Taurus not so much. I do like Taurus revolvers, like the "Judge" though.

Anyone stop by the table with all the full auto's? They had some things I've never seen in person before. An M2, Reisings, an M14, plus all the more common Mac's, M-16's, AK's and the like. I enjoyed that, the rest of the show was about like I had expected though.

You notice the prices on that stuff? I the M16A1 was like $15000. I guess some people have too much money...
I've shot an M2 on a couple of occasions. The only thing more fun is a MK19.

15k seems like a pretty fair price to me, based on the same guns being sold on the internet. I don't have anywhere near the kind of scratch to make that happen, but still. Maybe someday.

I know people with the money collect them but $15000 for a worn out cheesy (lightweight barrel, triangular handguads, and all) AR that happens to have full auto on the selector is goofy to me.
I'd much rather spend $3000 and have a sniper grade AR-10 (.308) all tricked out, that I could later claim I had sold.
The other thing is there are approximately two tons of red tape required to own one they are at least defacto, if not literally registered. SHTF, say someone worse and more effective than "O" gets in the white house, Uncle Sam might send men with even more guns to take your guns and your name is, on count of having a "machine gun" quite high on the list!

I went, I looked. Had a good time walking around and got to talk with one of my old coworkers who was selling books. That about sums it up.

Jake, that's a good looking pistol. If you are going to carry it in you pocket, I would recommend a DeSantis Nemisis holster. You can pull the pistol out of your pocket and the little "hook" catches in your pocket as you draw, shucking the holster. Pull up their site and you can check them out and it'll make more sense.

will do, thanks for the advice. i'll probably get an owb holster for it as well, but i'll be pocket carrying it for work, especially since I'm going to have to drive around to other Bud distribution locations on occasion. I just don't have enough pockets as it is, so PCing will be kept to a minimum.
good thing my fiance isn't a member here! she still doesn't know about it! I just couldn't deal with going unarmed anymore! I'll break it to her after the next gun show
I just didn't feel like a guilt trip tonight because she wants one too!

and jarhead nothinng in this world compares to a mk19 nothing. i loved shooting and working on the mk19. i still get excited thinking about shooting that wild child.
