Jake, I'd recommend the Desantis Super Fly over the Nemisis. I've got both.
Yea, Butch, when the bolt carrier group of a weapon weighs more than the average rifle you know you've got man's weapon!

I went, and was very dissappointed ... no reload supplies! There did seem to be alot of pistols compared to most shows which seem to an over-abundance of just longguns. I certainly didn't see anything I couldn't live withoout.

I've got an ol Pre 64 M70 in 300 H&H I have been considering moving since I haven't fired it in over a decade. I know better than to take it to the show.... I think. Lets see, it looks better than the ones on their tables marked $1800, plus it has a VX-III on it(mounted bran spanking new when I got it). What ya'll recon someone will pi** me off telling me how it isn't worth any more than $800 or so.

I usually don't see anything that is priced decent at the show but I did see some good deals on Glocks and taurus .380s. I bought some books from the back left corner. I spent to much money so I didn't get 1 of the ones I really wanted. It was a large book called How to Survive. It had a lot of health/medical information in it. I saw .40 S&W PMCs for 29cents a round. I thought that was a pretty good deal. I also saw some gen 2 glock 22's that had Detroit Police Department engraved on the slide for 389. I thought that was a pretty decent deal. Saw a Gen 3 glock 22 used but looked NIB for $415. Like I and all of you have said I usually don't see anything for a decent deal but this time I thought there was some deals to be had.
As far as selling when I take a gun to the show to sell I hang a sign on it that says for sale to individual no dealers then the price. The dealers anger me so much when they try to offer me half what the gun is worth.

I really don't know. I shop online mostly and got mine from Amazon. The only firearm related things I buy in person are the weapons themselves and some of my ammo.jakeg823 wrote:Jarhead5811 wrote:Jake, I'd recommend the Desantis Super Fly over the Nemisis. I've got both.

Got a Ruger GP100 .357 in stainless?
Nobody else seems to have 'em. Smith's had one in .327, but I would rather go with 357. Even Bud's doesn't have them.

Saw one last week. I think it was at Gold-n-Guns Pawn in Ridgeland.

Re: Gun Show This Weekend Sat.10 - Sun.11
I went and to be honest I saw some new stuff. I did see a lot of the regulars but for a smaller show it wasn't too bad. The only thing I bought was a box of PMC .357 for 21.00. I was looking for some reloading stuff but didn't see anything. I guess I'll just keep saving so I can make a big enough order to make up for the Haz Mat fee. I might go to the next one if I'm going to be close but doubt I'll drive from Leake county just for the next gun show to see the same old stuff. I did see the same Ruger slab side Mark III that i've looked at for the past three or four shows. If the owner would have been willing to deal just a little I would have bought it but found one a few days ago in a local pawn shop. It's still got a few days left before I can pick it up. I had to wait a little longer but save a few dollars and bought it at a price I felt better about.
