CC holester for tucked shirts..

Post by cwink on Mon Sep 19, 2011 12:59 pm

Any options out there for those of us that like to tuck in shirts and wear belts.. I just can't seem to find anything that works.

Try the Crossbread Supertuck, Galco King Tuk, or even something like the the High Noon Split Decision (or similar).

I have the Split Decision and have been happy with it. I seldom tuck in my shirt but, when I have, it has worked decently.

I am expecting a King Tuk in the next few days.

Try Cleveland's holsters, they are similar to the Crossbreed Supertuck. http://clevelandsholsters.com/

Raven Concealment with tuckable C-hooks, J-hooks or loops...

Simply rugged also offers tuckable clips in place of their IWB straps, but you have to request them. I love my supertuck, but my Simply Rugged Cuda carries so much better IWB. I haven't tried the new tuckable hooks yet. I'm waiting on a rig for my LCR that'll be equipped with them, but I've got 3 weeks or so.

Raven concealment is a top notch brand, but with a pretty long wait...especially for kydex, but like so many brands, there is a reason for the high demand.

I reallydo love my crossbreed though. It's especially great for 1911s because you can carry any one of the various barrel lengths

I have a CBSTD and I just really don't like the thing. It is a good holster, but not for a tucked in shirt. In the videos of people wearing it with a tucked in shirt, you can obviously see the big pile of shirt pulled out to cover up the gun grip. I have not found a good concealable way to carry IWB with a tucked in shirt without some type of vest or coat. This is one of the main reasons I got a pf9 to pocket carry.

I reached the same conclusion concerning the supertuck. I wore it with jeans and a tucked polo for several months, and I spent more time during the day worrying about whether or not my shirt was staying tucked, than whatever i was doing during the day. In shorts and an untucked t shirt, or jeans and an untucked shirt, it's fantastic. It's just really "marginal" for use while tucked. I opted for a pocket gun in the end, because I felt like being anxious about my gun all day around customers wasn't really worth it. With the pocket gun, it's like putting my knife in my pocket, just another tool in my tool box, not the constant thought of "i'm wearing a gun today, make sure your shirt is tucked"

The same reason I bought my LCR. I knew my Kimber would be too much gun for a tucked in shirt at my new job. Besides, if 5 shots of .357 magnum won't get the job done I'll be looking for a place to hide and grab my ankles.

Figured I'll try the lcr tucked in with the new simply rugged option, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Odds are it'll stay in a pocket holster.

I like my Supertuck, but I have to blouse up so much material that it looks goofy. I think your body shape has a lot to do with it too.

My job requires a tucked shirt, so the mouse gun ends up being my carry piece much of the time.

I ordered the CBST.. I am carrying a LC9 so it is not to much gun.. I ordered a Remora last week and I like it, just can't tuck with it on at all.. I still have my mouse gun too..

Do the tuckable clips or j hooks make your pants sag by not supporting the gun as much? I know a good belt is crucial but I'm just wondering what all they change other than being more concealable? I have the IWB clips and they support the weight of the gun by clipping over the top of the belt.

I don't have a holster with tuckable clips yet, outside of my supertuck with the standard clips. As long as you still wear a good belt I don't foresee the j-hooks and the like being any major concern.

I wore a supertuck with the new clips with the cross on them. I wore a button up shirt or a polo everyday tucked in for 2 years. I got my shirts long enough that i can tuck them in and pull them up just a lil so i can move around and it wouldnt tighten my shirt up.
Now i dont get out much so i wear it with my shirt tucked in behind the holster. More comfortable than my gcode hip holster and hitting my elbow on it all the time.
