my savage 7mm mag

this was my uncles rifle. it was in my mom and dads house when it burned a few years ago. the stock was ruined so i sanded it down and it still looked horrable. i got some paint and painted it to see if i liked it or not. it looks better than it did when the soot and tar was all in the wood pores. what yall think??

Looks good to me. did it get hot enough to damage the metal?

the scope is one i had layin around its a 3x9 i think i remember it was 35 bux from bass pro. i put it on my 22 sometimes.

and the gun has been sent to the gunsmith to be checked for damage. the back of the house cought on fire and my few guns that were over there was in the front of the house 70 feet away or so. most of the damage to the guns were soot and that tar crap that destroys everything. i got the scope that was on the 7mm cleaned enough to use it for spotting it was a 9x32 40mm i think.

my old 410 my great grandpa gave me was in a plastic bag with grease on it and the bag was still in tact just covered in that same tar crap.
