Good for him! People work their whole life to have something just to have some S.O.B. try to steal it! Glad they got the guy. Glad the couple was not harmed.

I'm told the video interview is quite entertaining but I can't find it.

I saw the video this a.m.; the homeowner said something to the effect that the suspect should be shot and strung up upside down...they've probably edited that out by now...not PC !

I love this guy, we need to buy him a .45, so the next time they'll just need to call the meat wagon for the invader.

He said he wanted a .38 so he could have put one in the guy's head; I wish JPD would give him that as a present for taking a fool off the street for a while.

I totally agree...I love it when a plan comes together, just glad the couple wasn't injured.

hmmm...how about a fundraiser on msgunowners to buy this fellow a decent .38 spl revolver? Nothing fancy, a good used S&W or Taurus. Wouldn't take much $ / member.

Haha. Love it. This guy needs a bigger gun. Lets skip the .38 and go straight for a .45

I am a confirmed member of the order of Saint John Moses Browning; but as we teach novices in the personal protection in the home courses, a revolver is the easiest to master for HD. This is an elderly gentleman, not someone who is out on the range for fun on the weekends; I am serious- he needs a reliable, yet simple HD handgun. Simple controls: pull trigger, it goes bang, no safety, mag, malfunction drills, etc. One which, when he hits the target, will not allow the target the ability to wrestle with him and disarm him! He apparently hit the guy, but the .32 didn't "stop" him. A .38 spl would be a major step up, and would still be controllable for an elderly gentleman who is not necessarily a "gun" enthusiast.

Probably needs ANYTHING now. Wonder if JPD confiscated his firearm for "evidence"? 32 ain't much but it beats the hell outta nothing.

I'd throw in $10. 20-30 members kick in the same and he could get a decent pistol. He can save a bit each SS pay day and get himself a good shotgun also.

A local dealer has Smith&Wesson 38s for $375+tax. A J-frame stainless might make the fellow feel better. I'll kick in for a deal like this. Maybe someone in the area could take the guy to the range for a fam/fire session.
