I got to watch a smidge up until the break. Dems praising them, Reps going after them... but all in all not what I was hoping for. My take after watching:

1. Holder planned and knew.
or
2. Holder did not know and is incompetent.

Either way, his administration is broken. He should be out. At this point its not about the guns... its not about the tactics. It is about either lying or incompetency. He is guilty of one, does it really matter which?

Yes, if he's just incompetent he should be fired...if he's lying he should be prosecuted just like anyone else would be.

Don't get too much started Mike, don't won't to see you being dragged out hollering "Don't Taz me Bro!!". Thanks for the unwashed truth.

Sid, those boys sitting in front of me weren't packing tazers. Neither was the undercover guy sitting at my 4 o clock. Next time I'll take in my tablet PC and can give live updates. 90% of it is just acting like you belong there and they don't mess with you.

Bumping this thread.

Last week the Arizona DOJ head of the criminal division told Congress that he was taking the fifth. I believe his appearance in front on committee is today. I'll be in DC next week and should be able to make it to Holder's hearing on the Feb 2.

Glad to hear about this. With all the election coverage this has quietly slipped to the back burner. It hardly gets any mention from the press anymore.

late Friday night, DOJ dumped a ton of documents. They actually slid a CD under the door to deliver it. In those documents are emails going back and forth inside of DOJ within hours of agent Terry's murder.

The email messages show the former top federal prosecutor in Arizona, Dennis Burke, notifying an aide to Holder via email on Dec. 15, 2010 that agent Brian Terry had been wounded and died. “Tragic,” responds the aide, Monty Wilkinson. “I’ve alerted the AG, the acting Deputy Attorney General…”Only a few minutes later, Wilkinson emailed again, saying, “Please provide any additional details as they become available to you.”Burke then delivered another piece of bad news: “The guns found in the desert near the murder [sic] … officer connect back to the investigation we were going to talk about — they were AK-47s purchased at a Phoenix gun store.”

Holder testified before Congress that he didn't know anything about this until Feb or March of 2011.

Our dear speaker of the house is the one who is to blame for this now.
