experience with Kroil?

Post by spmwheels on Thu Sep 22, 2011 8:50 pm

Just curious, does anyone use this stuff and if so where do you get it? I'm thinking about trying it but wondered if anyone had first hand experience with it and what your thoughts on it were? pros/cons. I'm looking at the aerosol spray but don't want to waste my money if it isn't any good or if there is something better out there.

Thanks, Steven

I have used it a lot offshore. It is way better than WD-40 and PB Blaster. The main thing I used it for is helping to free up corroded bolts and such. The only place I have seen it for sale was at one of our old hardware stores that is now gone sadly in part to the Lowe's and Walmart invasion.

Have used this stuff for years in industrial maintenance. It's good stuff! Look at NAPA, Advance Auto or other auto parts houses, hardware stores, big box stores such as Home Depot, Lowes, definately Grainger if you have access to an account to buy it against. If nothing else, try this link.

Just about any air conditioning supply house will sell it. But some don't sell to individuals. Try carrier off hwy80 or southern air down past climate masters. I know Baker off high st has it but they may not sell to individuals.

I'll keep an eye out for it, seems like some good stuff. Is it all spray or do they sell a liquid form of it? You keep a light coat on ya'lls guns?

lol yes I lived in Smith county on the other side of Puckett and I'm hoping the move isn't for good I'm hoping to go back that way in the near future "long story" but for now yes I'm in Pearl in the subdivision just off of Old Brandon Road across from Roses. And thanks for the tip on going to vans, I'll try to make it out there later today.

Spray is called Aero Kroil, liquid goes under the name Kano Kroil. Both are very good.

I bought some off the Kriol web sight. Two LARGE spray cans and two pint cans. Works pretty good on stuck/rusty parts. So far I have hardley used the spray. i just soak everything in a can of the stuff.
