Clash Of Metal Man-vs-Man (Woman) Steel At Magnolia Rifle & Pistol Club Saturday, Sept. 24th.....
Clash Of Metal, Man-vs- Man Steel At Magnolia Rifle & Pistol Club This Saturday, September 24th
It's that time again!!!
2 shooters
2 shooting boxes
5 pieces of steel counting 1 popper that is crossed for tie breaker
Open & Limited, no Rimfire.
We will do elimination by best 2 out of 3. Once a shooter has 3 losses on their card they do not advance. We will establish classes as the program advances. We'll use known ability and will look at classifications from other shooting sports like USPSA and ICORE and will handicap accordingly. In other words, if a newer shooter is going against a more experienced one they'll have to knock down fewer targets.
This is drag racing with guns! It's the most fun I've ever had and a hoot to just watch.
$5.00 entry fee and the match is 4th Saturday of every month. Match will begin @ 9AM.
Questions???
New shooters are encouraged to attend..
Who all is in?

Junked vehicles left at range.
I thought somebody had left two scrap vehicles on the West 25 yard parking area that were ready for the junkyard at this match. One was a Toyota truck with about 600,000 miles on it. The other was a Dodge Church bus with a rusty top.
Then I realized that these vehicles would actually still run when the 1st and 2nd place finishers at this Clash of Metal drove them off.
Why do the best shooters always drive the worst looking vehicles?
Joking aside, I had a great time at this Match. Lots of people showed up and the weather was beautiful. The interesting thing was that no targets were given up by anyone. Runs were closer than I have ever witnessed at this Match. The top Revolver shooters did allow most of us lowly bottom feeders to have ten rounds to their 8 rounds but we were coming out of Production legal holsters.
If you have not tried one of these Clash of Metal matchs, you should. No fancy equipment is required. Just bring what you have and plenty of ammo. Because there is no running around and no magazine changes it is the perfect match to begin competition.

Thanks Cliff. There was an insane amount of luck involved in that performance. I ordered a new midway range bag and I'm in need of a different holster next time. What kind of belt and holster rig was that you had for autos not the revolver.

Most folks have a CR Speed belt, Comp-Tec or Blade-Tech holster and CR Speed mag pouches.BigDaddyQ wrote:What kind of belt and holster rig was that you had for autos not the revolver.
