Wall Gun Rack

Several houses were burglarized in my neighborhood this week. All daylight robberies and the owners were gone.
I don't wan't to have to constantly get a shotgun out of the safe and then put it up when I'm not home. But I don't want to give my shotgun to a home invader either.
I'm thinking about a small vertical gun rack that could be locked when I leave. Anybody got any ideas? Do you lock up your weapons when you're gone?

The only one that I don't keep locked up is the one that's with me 24/7. The others, I take out when I need them and lock them up when I'm done.

When I leave home ALL my guns are locked in the safes...just grab what I want out of the safe when I return. just my 2 cents...if burglars hit while ur gone and see a gun, it won't matter what kind of rack it's locked into...they'll rip up the rack and all if they want the gun.

yeah, i really dont see the point in a gun rack over a safe. the difference would be giving them exact knowledge about what they are working to get as opposed to a locked safe and not knowing if the contents are worth the effort. Both locked rack and safe door take the same amount of time if you have to undo a combo lock or key. My safe takes about 4 seconds to get into as it has a digital key pad. scrap the idea and just use the safe. dont leave any room for error.
