What's it worth

I got a Ruger 10/22 target carbine with a fixed 4x simmons scope in mint cond. in a trade, and was wondering what it's actually worth, the Ruger web site shows $499.00, if it's worth near that i will be trying to trade it for a lightly used 12ga. auto 3in. mag. as soon as i can fing someone willing.

MSRP will always be more than actual "street value". For a better idea of value, go to gunbroker.com and do a search for the same model firearm. Then look for ones that actually sold and see what they sold for. Just because someone is asking $X.XX for a firearm doesn't mean it's really worth that much.
