I've heard all that talk about "other side" and "China" and stuff but where's your proof? Have you ever been there? I haven't. Not everything with curvature has another side you know. Look at boobies for instance.

mmmmmmm

More science. I am very much a part of the "pro" boobies contingent.

Thus why I conceded. It's like the chewbacca defense. You just can't win. I might as well go and argue with a rock now.

It's always fun to see how many responses it takes to derail an original thread and where it leads. This has been no exception. From most popular division to: fun factor, beer, flat earth, boobies etc. I have a feeling this is not over.

The original question had been answered: Limited is more fun.

So we went on to more pressing issues.

And no, this is not even close to over.

Look, just because your weak, supple wrists can't handle major PF, doesn't mean you should insult me.

Will, letting your girlfriend toss out insults isn't a fast track to winning an argument.

Yeah, you're right. You should get your girlfriend to send out some insults.

Oh... wait....

atomicbrh wrote:I have participated in Clash of Metal and Outlaw Steel several times at Magnolia Rifle and Pistol Club. I used what I already had: a stock Glock 17 and purchased USPSA Production legal belt, holster and magazine holders. It is difficult to shoot USPSA on Sundays at Magnolia because of Church activities but I want any future equipment purchases to be competitive in the most popular USPSA Division.

Planning to keep the Glock 17 rig but now researching another competition handgun purchase. No more polymer competition guns for me unless really a good deal. Just too light for me when shooting a high number of rounds. A side note is that I need another rig for the kids to shoot when they are home from college.

The question is which USPSA Division has the most Competitors every Month at Magnolia and in this USPSA Area? Going on what I saw at the Steel matchs it is Production?

Thanks for any input,

I think this match was fairly representative for Magnolia as of late. Numbers were probably very slightly skewed with a few extra revolvers (both in revolver division and 8-shot revos in others) due to the big ICORE match being next weekend. Totals were 22 Production, 13 Limited, 6 Revolver, 5 Singlestack, 4 Limited 10, and 3 Open.

I mentioned the "unofficial" overall results in my prior post and have included a link to them for the last few matches below (Sept. match was cancelled due to weather). USPSA does not promote them because obviously some divisions have an advantage over others in head to head competition (Open gun vs. Revolver as an extreme example) so, as labeled at the top, they are not official. However, many people want to see how it all shakes out so a good many clubs, including Magnolia, print and/or post them:

Did Not make it Church.

Post by atomicbrh on Tue 4 Oct 2011 - 8:05

No Mr. Heiter, I hope my atomic clock does not stop for at least 30 more years. Many times when I shoot a Match(rifle or handgun) on a Sunday morning and skip Church it just does not feel right to me. Thus, I do not have fun. I could tell 10/2/11 was going to be one of those Sundays.

I plan on making both Magnolia Steel matchs this Month.
Back to the original Post. Numbers reinforce that I am staying with Production gear for awhile.

Just so everyone knows, I meant that just as an "atomic clock" joke and didn't think about it being taken as a reference to Bobby dying. I'm glad you're still with us Bobby and I think your decision to stick with Production is probably a sound one.

You just won't have as much fun. lol

Revealing pictures of Mr. Heiter!!!

Post by atomicbrh on Tue 4 Oct 2011 - 16:42

Many do not know this but I have pictures of Mr. Heiter actually competing in a Rifle Match. Mr. Heiter if memory serves correctly bought a NRA Rifle classification book on March 10, 2007 for $12.00 and paid the entry fee of $10. Mr Heiter if memory still is correct was squadded with one of the best spotters to ever call the wind. Since I am a gentleman I will not print the scores he shot here. rotflmao

What this boils down to is that John shot the first Smallbore Rifle Sihouette Match that I put on at Magnolia. It was not his form of competition but my family and I will always be grateful for the support he gave us.

For that reason I feel that I should take off from church one Sunday and shoot a Magnolia USPSA Match that John directs. It is the right thing to do.

Bobby H.
