Anywhere to shoot around Louisville?
A couple co-workers and I are gonna be working and staying in Louisville for a few weeks and I would like to meet some members and maybe sight in a couple rifles if I have time. Planning on working as much as possible Monday-Thursday and heading back after lunch or so on Fridays. May have time may not but don't want to haul my rifles up there if there's no chance at all.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I'd recommend finding a contact with Starkville gun club. I lived in Louisville '90 - 96; inlaws are there. Watch out for the locals...I know some good people up there but let's just say there are some mean people in Winston County. 1st hand experience. If you hear the banjos from "Deliverance" it ain't a coincidence!!!!!

Come on now!!!! It's not that bad up here.
In answer to the question though, No. There isn't any sort of range here so unless you can find someone with land to shoot on, there's no where to do it.

Seriously, my in-laws are nicer to me than to my wife. The first time I went to stay with my mother-in-law (may she RIP) to go deer hunting, I got up to find a full course breakfast she'd prepared for me, at 4:45 am on her best China!
I did have a few rare encounters with the locals though. When I told one fellow at the Walmart there that I taught German and English as a Second Language at MSU, his reply was "they pay you to do that?" Some odd ones up there.

Thanks for the info. I reckon I'll leave my rifles at home. I brought my bow to to shoot while not working. Anything is better than nothing.
