anyone conceal carry in the crossdraw position?
Got to playin around with my new galco tonight and tried it on in crossdraw position. I must say it seems very comfortable and I liked that the gun can be drawn with my right or left hand. Now the 44 mag isn't really small enough to wear concealed and would obviously print if worn in such a manner. However a smaller gun may not. Does anyone conceal carry with their pistol in the "crossdraw" position? How does it work for you?

I do sometimes in the winter when I can wear a coat. Its easier to draw in a car that way or from the seat of my bike when at a stop light.

For me crossdraw is more comfortable and prints less.

Good for a BUG. Two purposes served, drawing while seated as Miker said and easier to get to with your off hand if your primary hand is injured or busy.

Crossdraw is very useful when driving for extended times...
Be sure to practice your draw

I don't like it for safety reasons. When drawing normally the path of the firearm is directly from the ground to the target. When you cross draw, everything on the weak hand side of you body is swept by a loaded firearm. To me that is not acceptable.

If you’ll take a moment and go to:

...to my posting 5/2/10, “Holster for MNM”,
you’ll see my cross draw set up...I guess that qualifies as a “cross draw”.
Works for me and is DISCRETE!

I would say 60% or more of police detective's I know carry cross draw shoulder rigs. In the winter time that's my holster of choice.. If you wanna be a stickler on safety.. most plus size men that carry iwb have the muzzle pointed at their Femur...

Depends on the gun. On a 5" 1911 it's a lot easier for me, the grip comes into the body instead of away from on strong side.
