Post by spmwheels on Wed Sep 28, 2011 11:45 pm

Boyds' TactiCool Savage 93-E/MKII Heavy Barrel Channel Hardwood Stock w/Black Textured Finish I was just curious has anyone ever used or does anyone use on of these on their mkII? I'm wondering how they compare to the standard stock on the mkII BV as far as weight difference? I cant find anything on the boyd website about how much the tacticool stock weighs any info on this would help greatly thanks.

Steven.

It's the exact same stock that comes on the mk2tr for what it's worth.

it's the exact same as what's shown if you look up the bv on savage's website wood grain laminated but Unfortunately I won't be changing it any time soon I'm looking for a stock that has more weight to it and the Boyd stock didn't have quite enough to meet my picky qualifications lol. Could anyone suggest another alternative? I'm simply looking to get more weight I'd like to add another 1-2lbs just to get more stability to keep the rifle from shifting while I'm shooting.

If all I am wanting to do is add weight to a wood stock, I usually dremel under the barrel channel and bore a hole in the stock and add lead.
