Need More Stock Length - Model 60

While deciding on which Savage MK II to order, I picked up a Marlin Model 60 and quickly discovered the stock needs to be extended and I'm having trouble finding a source for stock extenders or butt plate extensions. Probably need to add at least an inch to the length and any and all help/advice will be greatly appreciated.

Buy a recoil pad and trim it down to fit.

I've thought about that, but would first like to try and find something more permanent that I can use - some type of insert between the end of the stock and the current butt plate -

Boyds gunstocks makes a special run of tactical stocks for the Model 60 every about every 3 or 4 months, check with them.

Just looked at Boyds website they have many more stocks for the Model 60 than they did a few months ago. Guess the special runs selling out in a few days, got them on the ball.
