Who wants a 17L?

Post by Caleb C on Thu Sep 29, 2011 1:34 pm

I've got the rundown on some Glock 17Ls. They are new Gen3 guns. One of our distributors is expecting a shipment next week and is currently accepting orders. I'm getting one for myself and would be happy to include MSGO members in this as well. Our price will be $625 plus tax. As usual there's no fee for transfers.

Ya'll let me know if you're interested. These will sell out fast but I don't want to order more than we need.

Do you have any idea how many were made? I might be interested in one. Call me with further info.

I have no idea how many were made on this run. Usually after a 17L run they will start popping up on gunbroker were as you can usually never find them. I noticed yesterday that gunbroker had several for sale so these have already been shipped to some distributors and suppliers. It usually doesn't take long for the supply to dry up so I'm going to reserve as many as we need.

I'll give you a call around mid morning to noonish and we can discuss it.

I remember seeing this gun at matches 20 years ago. Is it USPSA Production legal?

It doesn't look like it:

(L models are not approved) C models are allowed providing that the barrel is non-ported and the other requirements are met. Short Frame (SF) versions of models approved.

It's at the bottom of the Glock listings.

From what I understand the barrel is about 3/4 inch too long for production class. That's were the model 34 comes in.
