Chicks with guns

Based on polling research and gun-sale statistics, an estimated 15
million to 20 million women in the United States own their own firearms.
Dozens of those heat-packing women are documented in “Chicks with
Guns,” a new book by photographer Lindsay McCrum that is sure to
challenge almost anyone’s assumptions about gun ownership.

Several ladies compete in USPSA, Outlaw Steel and ICORE every month at Magnolia, all lovely ladies and good shots too.

Seeing as I'm a photographer I should get the ladies to pose for me like the women in the article.

My mama taught me to shoot off the front porch (into a dirt bank---we lived WAAAAY out in the country) when I was about 5 years old.

Shooting .22 shorts in a single shot rifle.

PS: Glad the photos were not the usual models who have never owned a gun posed in swimsuits. Not that I'm opposed to models in swimsuits---just that these appear to be real gun owners.

No kidding .. I think Cliff shoots them up with ICEWATER. They step up and and you can see the ground beneath thier feet frost over. They are amazing. Cliff tries to prep them like a mother hen, and he is all grins when the girls bring the pain (shame) to the rest of us. Tell the truth...we all grin. Much fun.

I can remeber the days in my youth,going quail and squirrell hunting with my Mom,and the dimay on lots of my friends faces when she would limit out Wayyyy before we did.
