LA Wildwife Officer killed

Those are some dangerous jobs. Go up to a fella who's caught on a felony, he's liable to shoot you. Going up against a fella with a rifle or shotgun with a pistol ain't good odds to top it off.

I know some folks can not stand Wildlife Officers, but I for one tip my hat to them. They try their best to keep all the idiots out of the woods and at times, there is a bumper crop of them to deal with.

My condolences to his family and friends.

I go out of my way to go shake their hand and speak with them.
Opening day dove season Caleb and Craig came out to check license and we ended up talking and goofing off for awhile. They pretty much know all us on first name basis. Even tried to get them to shoot a dove with their duty weapons haha.

Id hate the job for what they are up against for that very reason. I had looked into how to get on with them but theres just too many crazies out there.

I feel for that family.

Just so sad.

I know they're probably short-handed, but that night hunting complaint seems like the kind of thing you'd want backup for even before you make contact... No good reason I can think of for him to have been by himself.
