Savage 116 300 win mag w/ birdsong camo finish

Post by fugan601 on Mon Oct 03, 2011 6:13 pm

I think it turned out great.I let them pick all the colors and they just did there on thing. However the bipod was not coated by birdsong yet, so i bought another to try a krylon finish which came out pretty good. Eventually I'm going to take my new Nightforce 3.5 - 15 x 50mm NXS Series and my other bipod and get it coated also. Now just gotta find me a Mississippi Desert so I can "blend" in.

MS desert: not too terribly far west of Columbia is Red Bluff....quite a nice area, but it's private and lots of folks coming in and out to have a look so you might freak out a hippy hiker to two

Ps, gun looks great!!!!!

Nice gun

Be careful doing stocks at Birdsongs...I had a stock crack...the curing process gets pretty warm...waiting on my replacement to come in

Yea, he told me before he started it might happen. There s a minor patch on the stocks thats a little ruffness, but hey they there product is for metal anyways.I ordered a back up tac stock, in almost the exact desert camo pattern. He showed me a brand new pattern they were trying yesterday, it was a crazy looking tiger stripes I've never seen done by them before. But overall I can say they went over and beyond my expectations like usual So more business to come in the near future If i can wrangle the check book from the wife
