B&C M40 Medalist

Post by jbpmidas on Tue 4 Oct 2011 - 17:27

I ordered one today for a Remington 700. Anyone have experience with them? I like the fact it has the aluminum bedding block built in. And, that it was @ $225 shipped!

Stockystocks.com

They said it would ship tomorrow. I will get it either Friday or Monday. I will post pictures and at some point give a range report.

Would have been better on me if you had ordered first to let me know!

Stock came today. I'll get before and after pictures later. I'm on graveyard OT all weekend. The stock seems very well put together. Seems the fit of the aluminum bedding block is better than the B&C A5 that's on my other 700. I'm going to take that rifle out of the stock to compare after the State F-Class match. It came with a REALLY soft decelerator recoil pad that is fitted extremely well! So far I am well pleased for the money! I also have Blackhawk cheek rest/ ammo holder on the way for it.

Got my stock in yesterday. Installed today. It went on easily. I also adjusted the trigger down while the stock was off. I also put the Blackhawk cheek rest/ stock pack on. So far, I really like the feel of that cheek rest!

I have one I ordered from Shooters Discount in Summit. Awesome stock for the money. The design is better for a "practical" precision rifle. It replaced a Bell & Carlson A2 which was a better set-up for prone.

I bought the A5 medalist and love it. It has lots of adjustments but is heavy. Mine weighs right at 15lbs unloaded. Not something you wanna hike with.

My other .308 came with the A5 adjustable. What do you have your stock torqued to?

That's where my A5 is after I sent it to back to Remington. When I bought it, the front was ata 35 and the rear was maybe 5. I torqued my M40 to 60 to start.
