Rings and Bases

Post by PapaDawg on Thu Oct 06, 2011 8:58 am

.22 related so I'm putting this question here - also more traffic than "gunsmithing."

Big brown truck delivered my new scopes yesterday - a BSA Platinum PT624X44TS and a BSA Sweet 22, 22-618X40 AO and now I need y'all's advice on bases and rings. Know there's a world of opinions from you .22RF-F folks, so lets have 'em (model and/or part numbers would be a huge help).

My plan is to mount the Sweet 22 on a Marlin Model 60 and the BSA Platinum on a Mark II GXP (replacing scope that came with it) - both of which followed me home last week.

Thanks all and I look forward to - and will follow - your advice -

Yep, good plan. Have one on my Savage MkII GXP, works great. Also have them on two Kimbers.
