Early on I wanted to shoot this match, then didn't have time to prepare and backed out, then was "invited" and couldn't resist. GLAD I did. The squads shot 8 of the 10 stages today and will finish up Sunday morning. It appears Cliff and Matt have worked their butts off BIG TIME getting this match ready. I know I have ENJOYED this match so far (even though I might not make Power Factor... ). It felt GOOD to get my ole S&W 586 back into competition.....

Looks like the stages really turned out well. Thanks for posting pics, SGF. Nice to be able to see the stages all the way from Atlanta, 400+ miles away where I was required to be here this weekend for a scheduled Saturday class in my ten week Polygraph Examiner's School. Wish I was there to help and compete at the 2011 SRRC, but in the meantime I am making the rounds shooting matches here instead. Keep up the good work and best of luck today!

Don't remember the class winners, sorry I (Bwana) got CRS at my age.

For me(Bwana), dead last in B Class, but I did have the high power factor at 174.9, and the fastest time to shoot the entire match, 2 hours flat. Started at 8:05 AM and finished at 10:05 AM. Shooting through did not hurt me, but trying to shoot too fast killed me. I should have listened to the peanut gallery following me around.

Hope to see all of you next year.

BTW, big ups to Cliff Cargill, Matt Moorer and all the rest of the people that worked like dogs to put this match together, especially the USPSA shooters who did not shoot, but came out and helped set up and RO the stages.

2011 SOUTHERN REGIONAL REVOLVER CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
October 7-9, 2011


The weather could not have been more perfect! The 6th Annual Southern Regional Revolver Championship was hosted by the Revolver Association of Mississippi, held at Magnolia Rifle and Pistol Club in Byram, Mississippi.


Elliot Aysen and Roger Davis took top two places, with Elliot taking 1st Limited, High Limited Senior and High Overall with a 218.85. Roger Davis was 1st in Open and 2nd Overall with a 231.39. Roger Reid was 1st Classic, High 6-Shooter and 13th Overall with a 298.20. Annette Aysen took High Limited Lady, High Overall Lady and 9th Overall with a 272.05. Samantha Moorer took the High Junior Award.

The cash plaques donated by ICORE were included in the prize table. Four guns were given away by drawing. 1-S&W Mod. 627 and 3- S&W Mod. 642.

Yeap..... that is me on the VERY BOTTOM. When they add 360 seconds for NOT making power factor.... that really BALLOONS your score. NOTE: 318.97 without the PENALTY.....

I called them 230 abut they are actual 234 s. So I chrnod 118.51 at 230 s and120.51 at 234s . Way to close for me

What ever happened to "Real Men Shoot .45's"?? Does that still hold true if the real men are taking out all the powder? LOL
