Anyone here that does Parkerizing?

Parkerizing is in our near future. Unfortunately, I can't help you right now. We have plans to invest in some very large stainless tanks for parkerizing so may be I can help you out next time around.

I used to do this a long time ago. Nothing to it. You can buy the mix at Midway and do it yourself.

Yep. If it's a small part you shouldn't have any trouble at all. Probably get a small stainless bowl at Wal-Mart and do the job right on the kitchen stove.

Will it ruin the bowl? Just curious. I might go the DIY route sometime in the future.

I don't think it will stick to the stainless steel. It's not porous like regular steel. It may not be safe to eat anything from if afterwards.

There are some great youtube videos for instruction, and Lauer Weaponry has good prices on the chemicals.
